Gonzalez Flag
The Gonzalez flag, also known as the "Come And Take It" flag, was the Texans response to Mexico when they asked for their cannon back. Two women from Gonzalez painted the flag on cotton, depicting the cannon, the lone star, and a clear challenge to the Mexican troops.
The Gonzalez flag flew as the first shots of the War for Independence were fired on October 2, 1835.
