Clean with a mild soap, water and soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and pat dry. Never use jewelry cleaner on Trend pieces, as cleaners are too harsh and might contain abrasives. Use a polishing cloth on Precious pieces.
Wipe down pieces with a dry 100% cotton cloth to remove impurities. To maintain your lacquer finish and avoid tarnishing, keep jewelry away from water, jewelry cleaners, silver cleaners, treated polishing cloths, perfumes, hairspray, lotions, hand sanitizers and makeup. Tuck your jewelry away when you are not wearing it.
Remove jewelry before washing your hands, swimming, exercising, cleaning or applying personal body products. To maintain your jewelry’s shine, avoid contact with soaks, perfumes, lotions, makeup, hair products, cleaning products and the like.
Pour a small amount of mild soap into lukewarm water and clean jewelry using a small, soft toothbrush. If dirt proves difficult to remove, soak the jewelry in clean water. This method should not be used to clean cultured freshwater pearls.
Use a silver-polishing cloth to make your silver pieces shine. Remember that this will not remove scratches.
These metals tarnish with time, but their shines can be easily restored. Avoid wearing jewelry in the shower, hot tub, sauna, ocean and swimming pool. Apply perfumes and hairspray before putting on jewelry.
These elements are fragile and require extra care. Wipe your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth — not a polishing cloth — when you take it off. If the pearls, stones or crystals become dull, gently pat them clean with a damp cloth and lay flat to dry. Avoid using chemicals and cleaners.
Wipe jewelry lightly with a soft jewelry-polishing cloth to restore shine and keep dirt and dust from wearing away the plated layer. Avoid polishing plated pieces more often than necessary. The more you polish it, the faster the plating wears away.
